That is not the first time I have seen that commercial. The first time I thought it was funny...because it has happened to me in Spanish. But now that you ask us to look at it from the perspective of a non-native speaker I don't think that it really is effective. Maybe if they had the lyrics subtitled and translated so the audiance knows what is being said. But if that commercial had been in Spanish, saying something offensive, I wouldn't have know.
